5 Days / 4 Nights – Ngorongoro & Serengeti Safari with Zanzibar Flight
Your 5-day journey begins in the cool highlands of Arusha, where calm breezes and soft light ease you into safari mode. Soon, the road carries you toward the majestic Ngorongoro Crater, a world enclosed within ancient walls where wildlife thrives in quiet harmony. From there, the adventure stretches into the vast Serengeti, where endless plains, roaming herds, and big cats paint each day with new stories.
This safari is brief yet rich, a compact passage through some of Africa’s greatest landscapes, leaving you with memories that linger long after the dust settles.
Tour Plan
Day 1: Arusha to Karatu
Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive through the Maasai Steppe and up into the Ngorongoro highlands, enjoying beautiful views of farms and villages along the way. Arrive in Karatu for lunch or by late afternoon.
Time at leisure to relax at your lodge/camp, enjoy the gardens or pool, and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – On to Serengeti
Leave early and drive to Ngorongoro Crater. Descend onto the crater floor for a full-day game drive, with picnic lunch inside the crater. Look for lions, elephants, hyenas, hippos, buffalo and maybe rhino.
In the afternoon, ascend the crater wall and continue to the Serengeti, game viewing along the way. Reach your Serengeti camp or lodge by evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti
Today is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti. Head out at sunrise when predators are most active. Watch for large cat sightings, elephants, giraffes and huge herds of wildebeest and zebras.
You may choose to return to camp for lunch and siesta, then head back out in the afternoon; or enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch.
Accommodation: Serengeti lodge/camp – full board.
Day 4: Serengeti to Karatu
After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive as you leave the Serengeti. Travel back towards the highlands and arrive in Karatu for lunch.
The afternoon is at leisure – relax, take an optional village walk or coffee farm visit (extra cost), or simply enjoy the lodge.

Day 5: Karatu to Arusha Airport – Fly to Zanzibar
After breakfast, depart Karatu and drive back to Arusha. Depending on flight time, you may stop for souvenir shopping before being dropped at Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar to continue your beach holiday.
