Our journey began in August 2025 on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro…
Baraka, a seasoned mountain guide, led a group of five friends up the mountain with patience, humility, and quiet strength. Among them was Leon, a traveler from the United States drawn by adventure and the spirit of the mountain. Through long days and changing conditions, Baraka’s steady guidance and attention to detail helped the group reach the summit safely. For Leon, standing at the top of Kilimanjaro marked the fulfillment of a personal dream—one he was deeply grateful to have achieved with Baraka’s support.
From Conversation to Vision
On the descent, Leon asked Baraka about his long-term goals. Baraka spoke honestly about his dream of founding a tour company—one built on integrity, service, and love for nature.
Inspired, Leon chose to begin that journey with him—not as a client, but as a partner.
The Birth of Roi Lion Tours Limited
From that shared vision, Roi Lion Tours was founded as a partnership built on integrity, local expertise, and long-term stewardship of Tanzania’s landscapes and communities.
The name Roi Lion—French for “King Lion”—reflects our respect for Tanzania’s wildlife and the responsibility we take in guiding people through it.
